Breakfast

Dear Poets,

we think that our March topic Breakfast” should be rewarded with a real breakfast so one of you will have an opportunity to spend a morning with English conversation and something nice and traditional to eat.

Write a poem about breakfast and post it in March! 🙂

This or That?

Black or white?

Dark or light?

Cat or dog?

Prince or frog?

Me or you?

Many or few?

Up or down?

Poverty or crown?

Life or money?

Sugar or honey?

Sun or moon?

Fork or spoon?

Question or answer?

Writer or dancer?

Finger or toe?

John or Joe?

Everything? Nothing?

Up to you….

All around you find the clue… 🙂

Snow

Snow

The snowfall of purity

Tempts the sinners

Nothing common with maturity

Nothing to do with winners

The snowflakes as a labyrinth

Bemuse those

Who put the idol on the plinth

Those whose hope knows

The sound of snow

Invites sleepers

Who for white do not see colors

To open the box with glow

January Topic

Dear Poets,

we hope you had a lovely Christmas time! It would be nice to celebrate the start of the year by writing a poem about the symbol of this beautiful year season – SNOW.

We are looking forward to reading your poems!

Dear Paper

Dear paper, your bear I cannot now

As I do not know, I do not know how

To speak to those who do not listen

To explain you feel when they say you DON’T

To show the things which glisten

When they sometimes really don’t

Dear paper, you might understand what I cannot

To sacrifice “yourself” I was taught

To pay for others’ mistakes

„just for your sake“

Dear paper, help me to follow

That this cage is good for a swallow

Who just wanted to breathe and fly

Help me to follow

That it’s all right when your dreams are going to die

Dear paper, just tell me a few warm words

Without all of „must“ „if not then“ „just do!“

Who gave them right, tell me who?

Dear paper, better you do not speak

MONEY, property, buy, do, give, work more

The words which are my dearest ones‘ creek

They might – one day – be drowned in for!

September/October Topic

Dear Poets!

we hope you spent an amazing summer and now you have a lot of new inspiration for writing poetry! After a break (we all needed) we would like to introduce a new September/October topic:  “The day I broke my habit”.  You can write about the changes you made or you can even try to break any of your habits for a day and share your experience with us.

We are looking forward to reading your poetry!

Summer Midnight Poem

Catching the light in the fire

and inspiration which runs

away and high and higher

I’ve been the bullets without guns

Where have you been, my muse, my fuel

Never leave me! Never do!

Could see much water and no pool

Nowhere to dive in summer blue

But you’re back! You’re there, right there!

Brought back the life of rhyming air

I missed you, muse

…. I desperately did….!

Resolutions 2015

To walk with the head held high

To be or not to be so shy?

To spend the precious time

With the lovely family of mine

To run faster, to jump higher

To pray more, to admire

The world, the nature and the days

Full of life and full of grace

To speak less and listen more

To visit England and its shore

To stop right now to stop right here

When there’s the smell of steak and beer!! 🙂

January topic

Dear Poets,

first of all we would like to wish you all the best for the new year 2015. May this new year bring as much beautiful poetry as possible! 🙂

Our first topic of this year will be about your New Year’s resolutions.
